Every Story Has Its Beginning...

This November, the Doctor's journey through time and space begins.

Story details are today revealed for the forthcoming first story in Doctor Who - The Young Doctor Adventures. This story will see the Time Lord later known as the Doctor at the very beginning in how he escaped Gallifrey and meeting a young woman later named Susan Foreman.

Birth of a Renegade by Jacob Piva and Coleman Dekker

Gallifrey, a corrupt temporal society in the universe. A young Time Lord has gotten himself into more trouble than he bargained for as he is put on trial for crimes against the Laws of Time and gets expelled from the Academy. However, he finds his calling in a young woman who wishes to flee and explore the universe, a meeting that will set the stage for the trip of a lifetime!

Writer Jacob Piva said: "An idea I had in my head for some time was one where we see the Doctor before they were known by that name escaping from Gallifrey. I've always been curious how that event went down so I told Coleman the basic idea and we both decided it would be a great way to start our series. With this idea though, we won't be revealing everything about the Doctor's past. It'd be wrong to do that. Overall, we can't wait for people to read the story."
